Did They Just Say Fresno? Stephen Colbert, KMPH and Kai the homeless hitchhiker – updated with new Kai video
Stephen Colbert jumped into the mania around Kai the homeless hitchhiker with this hilarious take on the man with the hatchet, including a great shout out to Fresno’s KMPH (1:19 mark) for landing the now-famous interview.

Too fun!
A bit of a cautionary note though — the guy on the site which claims to be raising money for Kai’s wetsuit and board says ” I’ve also contacted a surf shop in Mavericks (which he mentions in the vid) about setting something up”
Mavericks is the name of the location which has the waves Kai wants to ride — there is no town of Mavericks, therefore no surf shop “in Mavericks”. Maybe the guys reached a surf shop in Half Moon Bay, but…..
