Remember last week when that really dreadful picture of Johnny Depp in makeup for Dark Shadows appeared on the ‘net? Remember the disappointed ruckus that followed?
A picture of the cast of Dark Shadows, in full make-up, was released today. Johnny’s makeup is much more understated in this photo (as far as I can tell — he’s kind of far away). Check it out:
What do we think? Better? What about the appearance of Helena Bonham Carter in the orange wig? Think she swiped that wig from the Alice in Wonderland set?

man,I hope this is good. I remember talking w/ my daughter and wondering which character HBCarter would play…seems it’s ‘dr. julia hoffman’.
I do hope this is good. I don’t wanna be disappointed. They all look slightly ‘addams family’ with their haughty, vacant stares in the promo shoot. someone told me it’s being filmed at the Doheeny(sp?) Mansion (Grey Stone) just up from Sunset?…I wonder if that’s so. A lot of the 80′s (or was it early 90′s?) revival mini-series was shot there. (I never claimed not to be a geek.)[now, if I only had the Barnabas poster that was on the back of my door when I was 7 years old]
