‘Local Bites’ with Mayor Swearengin tonight
Remember a couple of months ago when Mayor Swearengin partnered with Taste Fresno to create Local Bites, the initiative aimed at getting Fresnans to eat local? Tonight is the Mayor’s third dinner out, and your third chance to dine with her.
Mayor Swearengin will be at Javier’s at 5680 East Kings Canyon Road at 5:30 p.m. Check out the promo video for tonight’s dinner here.
And remember: you don’t have to eat at Javier’s to participate. The point is to make an effort to eat at a local restaurant at least once a month — where you choose to eat is up to you.

Thanks for posting this reminder, Heather!
Javier’s fixed price menu for Restaurant Week this week includes $7 meals (with drinks!). We’re also recommending that people arrive at 6:30 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. to ensure a good spot near the Mayor. Call the restaurant at 252-4511 to make a reservation.
Thank, Alisa! Good tips.
