Five reasons Corey Haim should have been included in the 83rd Annual Academy Awards In Memoriam segment
One. Lucas.
Two. Silver Bullet.
Three. The Lost Boys.
Four. License to Drive.
Five. Dream a Little Dream.
For shame, Oscar overlords. For shame.

I thought the same thing. They gave him the ‘Farrah Fawcett’ snub this year…..
My theory is that they were trying to distract from the horrendous choice of hosts. Both epic fails.
Yeah I wanted him to be included. Why he wasn’t, I do not know? Let us know if you read why he wasn’t included.
If they REALLY wanted to appeal to a younger crowd you think they WOULD have included him….
shame…
They DID include Kirk Douglas though… Oh wait, was he still alive? Talk about attracting a younger audience…NOT! Geez, the whole time he was on I was afraid he WOULD die. Like Dick Clark’s continued New Year’s Eve appearances, seeing old Kirk was uncomfortable.
@ zippy……………OMG That was so uncalled for!!!!!
I know my comment is a little late…and I totally agree that they should have included Corey Haim…but what about Gary Coleman? Didn’t they snub him too?!
I’ve heard people say the same of Rue McClanahan. I think it might have to with those actors primarily being on TV, and the fact that the Oscars celebrate movies and movie stars.
Remember last year, I think it was, when they “forgot” Brad Renfro (The Client)? He too was notorious for drug use (like Haim), so I wonder if the Academy tries to stay away from that kind of thing.
