What’s missing here?

Nintendo DS has released cover art for its game version of the movie “Mean Girls,” and it’s looking a little … bare. Check it out:

After the jump, see what’s missing.

Why, it’s young Lindsay Lohan, the star of “Mean Girls,” that’s missing from the cover.

The tagline for the game reads, “Rumors. Lies. Intrigue. It’s High School. Based on the hit Paramount movie. Follow the misadventures of Cady from Jingle Bell Rock to the School Prom.”

If you’ll remember, Lohan played the main character, Cady. So why doesn’t she appear on the game cover?

The game isn’t going to be released for a few more months, so I have to wonder if Nintendo is afraid Lohan will hit rock bottom before then, making “Mean Girls” unmarketable to children (the game is rated “E” for everyone), or — worse — that she might not make it at all, putting them in a Brittany Murphy-on-the-Redbox-cover situation.

Either way, it’s definitely another low point for Lohan.

As long as Rachel McAdams is on there, I’m putting this on my list over at Cheapassgamer.com!
