‘Cross Streets’ meets KSEE 24

You’re familiar with local blog The Dumb Are Mostly Intrigued by the Drum’s series “Cross Streets,” right? Well tonight the boys hit the big time. Check out Roque “Brodiemash” Rodriguez’s and Bryan Harley’s appearance on KSEE 24′s 11 p.m. news:

Shown in the video is Roque and Bryan’s first Cross Streets, not the second as anchorperson Carolyn Bruck said, but she’s right about the series being worth checking out.

Congrats, guys.

Jay says:

This is all kinds of awesomeness! Congrats.

Jackie says:

First and Shields. First and Shields. Great stuff, congratulations guys!

brodiemash says:

Man, they picked the one where I look the most bummy. *sigh* Oh well. Much thanks for the love!

Chloe says:

Moving up in the world!! Yay for The Dumb Drum!!

Congrats, sirs! Here’s to putting the map on Fresno.

John says:

Roque & Bryan! Haha, that was the BEST! Great job guys!

Joan Obra says:

Brodie, now I’M gonna be at the station singing that song.
It’s drilling through my skull as we speak.

brodiemash says:

LULZ! You can blame Bryan for the infectious ditty. But the good thing is you can substitute any Cross Streets in there. Make it yours! :)

Stephen says:

Not true BrodieM.

I live at Huntington and R.

Just doesn’t quite…work.

Stephen says:

AGH! I forgot the most important part:

I LOVE CROSS-STREETS!!

Let’s just purchase a weekly half-hour on one of the affiliates and fill it with Cross-Streets and The Guys Who Like to Eat and HMac’s weekly staring contest (cuz I’m old school like that).

We’ll call it “The Ghettoe Fresno ShowShow.” Theme song by Blake Jones, Hosted by John Wallace (just to class it up a bit).

Our motto? “Where You’ll NEVER See Ray Appleton or Alan Autry – The Ghettoe Fresno ShowShow!”

Dude says:

Do you guys talk about how Pizza and Pipes used to be at First and Shields?… if not, why not? That place was awesome!

Carolyn Bruck says:

I am still singing “First and Shields, First and Shields…!!!” Can’t wait for the next episode. I think this is the 2nd Cross Streets – “Belmont Loop” is a must see especially if you’ve ever pondered the existence of unicorns.

Carolyn Bruck says:

And, I’m totally wrong! It’s not the 2nd in the series, just the 2nd one posted to KSEE 24′s “You News” site.

brodiemash says:

There’s always a way, sir! But yeah, that’s a challenge. I’m looking forward to Inyo & O :)

Heather says:

Ralph’s reaction was fantastic: “It sounds like a Sonic commercial.” He was totally unimpressed.

karma says:

saw this last night and was once again cracking up! i never knew how to pronounce roque’s name before… i just called him brodiemash.
works well when you yell it out in a crowded theatre. he’ll respond via twitter

Bryan Harley says:

No reason we can’t do that for free right now on public access (channel 96). :)

brodiemash says:

Hey man, I thought you guys might have been some people that I owed money to or something so I was scared that time. Next time, yell out just “Brodie” and I’ll respond with “MASH” :)

I knew it was the first one in the series since I’m a regular viewer, but that mistake aside, it’s great to see a network channel recognizing the goodness that is “Cross Streets”!
I happened to catch it as it ran on the 11pm news right after I got home from Rogueing. Fresno’s coolness just doesn’t stop!

Lucy says:

I love those guys!
