Johnny Depp as The Mad Hatter: Awesome, Lame or Creepy?
The following photo is allegedly the first picture of Johnny Depp starring as The Mad Hatter in Tim Burton’s version of “Alice in Wonderland.” Is it:
A. Awesome.
B. Lame
C. Willy Wonka
I’m going with answer C. He looks like the illegitimate child of the Night Hob and the dude with the racing snail in “The Neverending Story.”

I’m a little tired of Johny Depp’s role as Tim Burton’s goto (crazy) person. Do you think he even had a casting call for the role?
@Adam…when “The Movies” was going out of business in the Tower, I bought a great version of “Alice in Wonderland” from the 1970s…and it wasn’t rated “R”…it…is…awesome.
Johnny looks like the love child of Carrot Top and Skeletor.
I hope Burton isn’t just gonna turn this into a big screen version of American McGee’s Alice. But Burton does have a history of
