This is a true story: A woman in Grosse Pointe, Michigan refused to give Halloween candy to children whose parents support Barack Obama for president. She really, really did this. Proudly.

Well, in all fairness, McCain could use the help with younger voters.
The fact that people like her exist scares me
Let’s go with the fact that a good majority of the kids going to her house still wouldn’t be old enough to vote, even if McCain lasted two terms. What’s with all the frackin’ brainwashing going on around with the singing “Yes on Prop 8″ duo to this garbage? Yeesh.

(Michigan is really touchy these days regarding Democrats or anything considered even slightly liberal,
-The northern half (of the mitten) is pretty well off, and has always been very conservative.
The southern half is decidedly NOT, their unemployment has been hellish and off the charts for quite some time,
–and their Governor (Dem) is seen as pretty much the antichrist and responsible for bonecrushing poverty and horrendous govt moves.)

Um, I guess she didn’t realize how pointless it was to give out McCain flyers to people who were already voting that way? Wouldn’t it have been a little more productive (not to mention less costly for the campaign) to deny candy to her own party and only give candy with the McCain doorhangers to Obama supporters?
Ha! The guy put up a Mercedes sign instead of a peace sign. It’s the thought that counts, I guess.
I myself denied candy to kids that I deemed were overweight or had less than stellar dental conditions. I didn’t even think to ask them who they were voting for… this lady is a maverick!
Wow, I wonder what her life must be like if the only control she can grasp is by denying children candy based on their parents voting practice? Think about it… people who work so hard to hold control over someone who has none tend to be self loathing weaklings.
I’m pretty sure she’s sitting in her Macy’s clearance sale living room eating those peanut M&M’s all by herself.
