Win tickets to the Fresno Philharmonic

Romantic.jpg

UPDATE NO. 2: And our winner is Tony Taylor. Congratulations to him, and thanks to everyone who entered.

UPDATE: No sooner did I post this ticket giveaway than I received an email from the Philharmonic saying that Lukas Vondracek has cancelled his Fresno performances because of a scheduling conflict. Replacing him is Ya-Fei Chuang.

ORIGINAL ENTRY: Czech pianist Lukas Vondracek plays Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Fresno Philharmonic this coming weekend. The orchestra is also playing Bruckner’s Symphony No. 4. Performances are 8 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday. And I have four Philharmonic ticket vouchers to give away.

Here’s how these vouchers work: You can use them for any concert of the 2011-12 season, including this one. You can reserve your seats ahead of time by taking the vouchers to the Fresno Phil’s Shaw Avenue box office at 2377 W. Shaw Ave. #101 — or you can redeem them at the Saroyan Theatre box office an hour before the concert begins. (You’d be out of luck if the concert is completely sold out, but that’s rare.) If you win the vouchers, I can either drop them in the mail to you, or you can come to The Bee’s front lobby to pick up the vouchers during business hours.

Deadline to enter is 9 a.m. Tuesday. The winner will receive four vouchers. And remember: They can be used for any concert of the season, including this weekend’s.

To enter, leave a comment on this post. A few important things: Winners will be notified by e-mail, so please leave a real e-mail address and please, please, please check your e-mail. I reserve the right to pick another winner if I don’t get a response to my e-mail by noon Tuesday. One entry per person. You’re ineligible if you’ve won something from us in the past 30 days. Complete rules after the jump.

GIVEAWAY RULES
Only readers who submit a comment on this post are eligible. A winner will be picked at random. Recipients will be notified by e-mail at the end of each giveaway period. No substitutions or transfer of winners/prizes. Prizes are not redeemable for cash. Some prizes may have due dates for redemption/use. Employees and immediate family of The Fresno Bee, fresnobee.com and any/all of the participating giveaway sponsors, are not eligible to win. By accepting a giveaway, recipient consents to allow the use of his/her name and/or photograph for advertising or similar promotions without further compensation. Winner releases all sponsors of liability regarding use and enjoyment of the prizes. Tax liabilities and insurance, if any, are sole responsibility of the winner. No purchase necessary to win.
