We've already told you about tonight's Pecha Kucha presentations at Starline, which promises to be a great (and packed) night of creative-minded Fresnans.

Another event that'll have the Tower District moving on this Monday night is Jeremy "Elvis" Pearce's concert at Roger Rocka's. Pearce, Fresno's foremost Elvis impersonator, will be honoring what would have been The King's 75th birthday.

THE WEEK AHEAD
Below, check out some more happenings for tonight, plus a look at what local shows and nightclub events to look forward to the rest of this week.

Because we don't expect you to only come to Beehive Birthday V this weekend ...

1. BLEND, BABY, BLEND
Since uplifting Fresno is a popular topic these days, you oughta know about another cool community event happening tonight. It's Creative Fresno's monthly Creative Blender. The basic concept: Creative-minded Fresnans mingle at a different happy hour location the first Friday of each month. Today its at downtown eatery/bar The Cosmopolitan from 5 to 8 p.m. On a similar Fresno-betterment note: Be sure to read my 20 Steps to Being a Better Fresnan column in today's Bee, if you haven't yet. You might be able to cross a couple things off the list just by going to this.

Tonight, Phoenix band Andrew Jackson Jihad (yep, that's their name) makes a tour stop in Fresno. While it might sound like one of those ironic hardcore band names, Andrew Jackson Jihad is actually an two-piece, one guy playing playing acoustic guitar and one playing stand-up bass. The songs are catchy, but stripped down, sorta punk rock unplugged. The tour brings Kepi Ghoulie (of the Groovie Ghoulies) and Partners in 818 in tow. Local band The Giddy Ups is also on the bill.

THE WEEK AHEAD
Have a look at what else is coming up this week -- including DJ Muggs at Audie's and a lot of local rock shows.

As you read this, I'm on vacation and won't be back until after Christmas, so this edition of Post No Bills will have to hold you over for a little while. Good thing it's full of good stuff. Enjoy!

UPDATE: We have our winners. Congrats to Mayoua and Brandon. Thanks for playing everyone!

ORIGINAL POST: On Thursday night, the Winter Wonder Slam tour rolls into Selland Arena, bringing contemporary Christian artists TobyMac, Relient K, Stephanie Smith and B. Reith.

I interviewed TobyMac (ex of DC Talk, if you didn't know) for a piece that was in the paper last week. Read it here. And since we at The Beehive are a giving bunch, today we've got some free tickets to the concert for a couple lucky readers.

The FIRST and FIFTH readers to comment on the post will win a pair of tickets to the show. A few notes: Winner will be notified in an e-mail, so leave a real one. No repeat comments please. You're ineligible if you've won something in the past 30 days (the "Up in the Air" screening doesn't count). We won't post any comments until we have a winner. Complete rules after the jump.

If you don't win tickets, you can buy 'em via Ticketmaster.

Monday night jam sessions are nothing new at Starline. There was an acoustic open mic night for years.

Recently, it's been overhauled into the Musician's Guild open jam night, hosted by Aesop (of Living Legends fame) and resident DJ Bumsun.

As the flier says, $3 gets you in to either simply listen, or hop on stage and play a little somethin' yourself.

BELOW:
Check out the rundown of events for this week -- including the two-venue, 25+ band Fresno Fest, a plethora of Christmas-themed parties, a new live music night at World Sports Cafe, something for the b-boys out there and touring acts such as Sole, Keenhouse and Rockin' Lloyd Tripp.

UPDATE: Save Mart Center just confirmed this one. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. They cost $35, $45 and $55.

ORIGINAL POST: Country star/"American Idol" winner Carrie Underwood will return to Save Mart Center on May 18, according to a list of tour dates announced this morning.

Underwood's "Play On" tour will start March 11 and play 45 dates, including the Fresno return. The Save Mart Center has yet to confirm the date. No ticket info is available. We'll let you know when we know.

Underwood's third album, "Play On," was released in November and debuted at No. 1 on both Billboard's pop and country charts.

The 26-year-old has previously played two sold-out Fresno shows, one at Saroyan Theatre in 2006 and another at Save Mart Center in 2008.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra, which plays the Save Mart Center tonight, is a polarizing group. The people who love what they do, really love it. Other people don't hate it -- it's Christmas, you can't really hate it -- but just don't share the same enthusiasm.

If you haven't seen TSO before, be ready for an onslaught of light and sound, all meticulously coordinated to become this fantastical hard-rock opera. I went to the show for the first time last year, then weighed the pros and cons here on The Beehive. While I won't be heading back again this year, I imagine many people will. Feel free to come back tomorrow and tell us what you thought of the show.

ALSO: If TSO isn't your particular holiday flavor, be sure to check out this rundown of holiday music happenings that appeared in The Bee last Sunday.

We've already got comments rolling in about Tuesday night's Kelly Clarkson concert at Save Mart Center. One fan is raving about the performance from the original "American Idol:"

... She was out of this world good. It wasn't a teeny bopper show, like I thought it was going to be, she rocked the joint for over an hour and a half, and sang some very cool covers ...

I'll go out on a limb here, and say she has got to have the best voice in the business today, with out a doubt. Her incredible voice filled that arena last night. Girl can SANG!

Everybody agree? Anybody think it wasn't that good? Did you like the setlist? How about her show(wo)manship? How was the crowd? Was the place full? What about the opening act? Give us your thoughts on those topics and whatever else you want in the comments.

Happy Thanksgiving, Beehive readers. I'm off this week. As you read this, I'm actually in the Happiest Place on Earth. But I couldn't leave without giving you a rundown of what to do while I'm on vacation.

Below you'll find a good mix of happenings for the week ahead -- locals shows, club nights and more. There are good shows from the likes of Buffalo Guns, 40 Watt Hype and Cerro Negro, plus a few new nightlife options. (North India Bar & Grill going the club route?!?)

Check 'em out and enjoy yourselves. If you know of something I missed, please leave it in the comments.

Ready for something you don't see or hear everyday? Screamo/metalcore band Eyes Set to Kill, which is at Starline tonight, was started by two sisters. Yep, it would seem that screamy rock music is not just for the dudes.

The Phoenix-bred band (signed to BreakSilence) is touring the West right now, on a Revolver-sponsored run that also includes Love Hate Hero and Dreaming of Eden.
