I'm thinking tonight's appearance by Seattle's Super Geek League is going to the wildest show that Fresno sees this year. They're playing at Babylon [flier]. In my preview story in today's Bee, I described it as "Cirque du Soleil ... goes insane." Read my Q & A with band leader Commander Tomorrow to see what I mean.
Also quiet entertaining were the litany of photos the band sent me. I'm posting a bunch here, because I think they give you a pretty good idea of what SGL is about.
The show was INCREDIBLE!!! That confetti you see is sooo awesome in real life!! It felt like you were right in the middle of some alternate universe!
Too bad Fresno didn't show up.
Bands like this are perfect for Fresno but it's different(not my kind of music). But whether it's your scene or not, it was one hell of a circus. Based on showmanship alone, this is a MUST SEE act!
