Here's your weekly recap of The Bee's reports on food. (For free Italian ices, check out Saturday's special.)
- Last Sunday, our very own Mike Oz gave a rundown of his favorite tacos on Flavors of the Valley. Featured were La Elegante, Guadalajara #3, and Los Toritos. Listen online, and read the reviews Mike and I did a few years ago.
- Here's a fascinating look at the process of making wine that's kosher for Passover. Seloh, the new label, isn't yet available for sale here. If this first batch does well in the New York Area, maybe we'll see some of the second batch in the Valley.
- Do your children love to cook? Here are three cooking teachers who organize hands-on lessons for birthday parties.
- And if you want free Italian ices, check out Nee Nee's Fruit Ice Cafe noon-9 p.m. Saturday. Here are more details.

I hope people were able to get out Nee Nee's Ice Cafe. This place is great; the frozen treats and the people behind the counter are very nice too. I like the sugarless lemon/cherry combo.
Hey Joan,
I am a student from FPU in Ron Orozco's class. I looked through your blog and really appreciate the list of the best tacos in the area. I haven't tried any of the places on the list, but I would like to add Taco's Tijuana on King's Canyon as my favorite. I plan on trying La Elegante on my next taco run.
