Today is Wednesday, which means the weekly Landmark pub quiz will be going down tonight as usual. If you've been enjoying the event the past two weeks, and want yet more pub quiz, this is your lucky week. The Fresno State History Graduate Student Association has opened its pub quiz to the public:
The event will take place from 6-9 p.m. Friday, January 29, at Starline in the Tower District. Unlike the Landmark pub quiz, this event has no entry fee, and teams must include 2-6 players. The flier mentions a "cheeky" prize, so until I hear otherwise, I'll assume it's a drawing of the quizmaster's ass.
Good luck, participants!

curses! why are these all scheduled when i have to go to school?? that's it, i'm starting my own.
That's cool. Hopefully both events succeed.
That being said there's just one last thing I feel like I need to say ...
BLOGOCIDE!
BLOGOCIDE!
BLOGOCIDE!!
Oh, and sadly, we are banning the letter "o" for team names tonight.
It reneged on its ad contract so we dropped it for better sponsorship from the letter "e"
all the best to them on their pub quiz night. when we were researching local pub quizzes, we saw a mention of a fresno state group but hadn't found any recent details. glad to hear they're still chugging along.
more stuff to do in fresno, more stuff to do in the tower = goodness imho!
for those that don't want to or can't wait, they're welcome to come on over to the Landmark tonight @ 7:30 (for registration).
Ooooooh, competition!
A previously closed to the public trivia night, now open to all contenders!
I suggest coming to Pub Quiz at Landmark. Consider it a review or practice test for your chance at cheeky prizes on Friday.
Sadly, the Straw Hat Mafia will have to take a leave of absence this week. We wish you all the best tonight fellow pub quizzers. See you next week!
Man, I wish I could go! Sounds fun.
Woo! No work on Friday! Team "It is what it is" is back in action!
Still spending my share of the winnings from last night so Lawn Gnomes won't be there either.
Make that $6.50 last, Tony!
oh snap!
btw, i heard the "cheeky prize" at the fri night quiz night was a toilet seat cover for the last place team. that's funny. also heard that they had a good turnout (1 person said it was packed, one said about 40 people) so congrats to them.
