It's the perfect Kids' Saturday

There are lots of great options for parents looking for something to do with their children. Here are three picks:

  • The Fresno State Concert Choir and Chamber Singers present "Home for the Holidays: A Seasonal Concert for Children of All Ages." Special guests will be members of the Bach Children's Choir. 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, Fresno State Concert Hall. csufresno.edu/music/concerts, (559) 278-5829.
  • "Amahl and the Night Visitors," staged by the California Opera Association, will be performed at 11:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Saturday as part of the Fresno Art Museum's free Family Day, which runs 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and includes a puppet show, face painting and art activities. fresnoartmuseum.org, (559) 441-4221.
  • "A Year with Frog & Toad," directed by Daniel Chavez Jr., is a children's musical that remains true to the spirit of Arnold Lobel's original stories as it follows two great friends - the cheerful and popular Frog, and the rather grumpy Toad - through four fun-filled seasons. It will be performed 2 and 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 13 at California Arts Academy's Blackstone Theater, 4750 N. Blackstone Ave. Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 day of show, Students/Seniors are half price. Details: (559) 222-6539 or buy tickets online.
