I'm pretty psyched about Saturday's Swede Fest. I've heard a couple secrets about swedes that will be screened. I'm not going to leak those, because it's all meant to be a surprise -- but let me just say, this sounds like the most awesome Swede Fest yet.
You might have even seen Fresno's Swede heroes, Brodiemash and Bryan, on KMPH's "Great Day" this morning. Hopefully there's a big turnout for this Fresno original.
The Beehive, of course, wants you to be at the Swede Fest on Saturday, so we're trying to hook you up with a chance to get in for free. Details and official rules after the jump ...

My mom is coming to SwedeFest (I pilfered tickets from your stash and gave her one -- eff you, official rules!) and she'll be 60 in a few months. Also, she lives way north of Shaw.
I would say you can teach an old dog new tricks but that sounds disrespectful, so instead I'll go with you can't judge a 55-ish north Fresnan by its cover.
Actually, Heather, "55-ish" refers to Fresno being No. 55 in the Daily Beast poll. Basically, if you go to Swede Fest you're contributing to Fresno not being dumb.

Though I can't really support SwedeFest as an intellectual outing. I don't know how many nonfiction books it's read.
Sooo bummed that I will not make it out...home improvement projects are top priority for me this weekend. Looking forward to checking out the swedes once they are posted on the website.
