This seems to be the weekend that brought the Beehive down. From what I'm hearing, half the Beehive staff was down with a mysterious illness (no oinks!), one was out of town, and one was laid up with a bad back.
The bad back one is me, so my weekend went something like this:
FRIDAY: Sat on the couch in pajamas watching "Mysteries of the Smithsonian" for the thirteenth time on the Travel Channel.
Went to bed early.
SATURDAY: Sat on the couch feeling bad about my back most of the day. Rallied around 5 p.m., and went to Boomers to enjoy one trip around the go-cart track, two games of Skeeball, and a Churro that almost made up for the pain. Found myself back on the couch by 9, asleep by 10.
SUNDAY: See Friday; replace "Mysteries of the Smithsonian" with "Buffy the Vampire Slayer, season 2."
Please tell me you had a better weekend than I.

Didn't have a bad back or was sick... but my weekend was decidedly unspectacular... perhaps for the best.
weeeeelll, I played The Starline Saturday night...it was a great turnout and I'm lucky to have the fans I have. Even with KISS at Save Mart, UFC Fight, and The Bulldog Game we were able to sell out The Starline a little after nine PM.
Funniest story of the night: A fan won KISS tix on the radio and then sold them to pay for his family to come to my show.....KISS really kicked my ass in the war..but I won that little teeny tiny battle hehe.
here's a picture from the show, thanks to Local Photographer John Tipton:
Heather: On Saturday I put on my band-geek hat for my annual fix at the Western Band Championships at Buchanan Stadium. And on Sunday I caught the Fresno Philharmonic's performance of Tchaikovsky's 3rd Orchestral Suite. I'll be posting about both events this afternoon.
Saturday: played in Visalia at Velouria Records---basically a good time, but my own set swung wildly from 'strong' to 'wonky'. I'm hoping the wonky bits were at least....'charming'.
Sunday: home bouncing between recording and watching that new Star Wars movie which I thought was pretty good, but it seemed like all the main characters were kids----just a slight whiff of like on the cartoons where they introduce the cute little characters like 'Bat Mite' and "Scrappy Doo".
Friday I went to see New Moon and it was amazeballs. Then I celebrated my 25th birthday at Tokyo Garden and had a blast.
Saturday I went to see New Moon again, this time with my boyfriend Floyd and he liked it. Win!
And on Sunday I rested.
Happy belated birthday!
I went to the Toledo's in Pinedale for the first time. Can you believe I've never been there before? Margarits and nachos were awesome.
I made homemade persimmon cookies, and drove with the family to Morgan Hill for early Turkey day with the family. GoodTimes. Wanted to go see DETHKLOK/MASTODON about 30 min north of there in San Jose, but the Turkey got the best of me and it was nap time all the way home. Sunday was the best day for me. Got to watch football all day with my best friend in our jammies by the fireplace and barbeque in between. MMMM. Cuddling and football. The two DO go great together.
