ORIGINAL POST (10/8): According to new tour dates announced today, Taylor Swift is due back in Fresno on April 10.

No venues were announced, just cities -- but at this point I can't see Swift playing anywhere other than Save Mart Center. We'll be following this and keep you guys updated on ticket prices, when they'd go on sale and everything else.

Swift is no stranger to the Fresno area -- she was last here in April 2008 opening for Rascal Flatts at Save Mart Center. She headlined Warnors Theatre in 2007. Back before she took off, she even played an impromptu concert at Cali's Frozen Custard shop (then on Blackstone Ave).

I talked to her last year and she had good things to say about our city:

"It's funny to look back on a city like Fresno and look back on all the different times you've been there. I went there once on a radio tour and was in the studio at the radio station.

"They put me on the air and treated me like family and treated me like I belonged there. So automatically Fresno became one of my favorite places just because of the radio station -- Kiss Country (KSKS, FM 93.7). Because of that, I always felt at home coming back ...

"There are a few cities that stand out as cities that helped grow me in certain regions. I look at Fresno as a really huge, huge help to growing me and my music and spreading the word in California.

"There are cities all over the United States that have helped, but there are a handful of them that you can remember every time you went there and what those people have done for you."
