Re:FUSE Fest: Who are you seeing?

webBanner2.gif

We're only a couple days away from the Re:FUSE Festival, which is going to be a great chance to sample Fresno's live music talent, with 40 bands in eight venues.

The entire Re:FUSE schedule has been released. You can see it at the Re:FUSE site or check it out below. Now that times and venues have been put next to the band names, it's time to start making choices.

Personally, I'm trying to see as many bands as I haven't seen before, so I'll probably pick The Escorts over Patrick Contreras. But I'd like to hear from festivalgoers: Who are you looking forward to seeing? What tough choices will you be making?

I want to catch 40 Watt Hype and Blake Jones & The Trike Shop, but I'm confused by the web site. I thought Cole Fonseca was playing, am I missed him on the set list somewhere?

I believe Cole was set to play the opening night party, but there was a scheduling conflict and he had to bow out.

Bummer, I was looking forward to him.

BASURA!BASURA!BASURA!BASURA!

Also, those FTK/Antilabs shirts are ridiculously awesome.

I'm with Brodiemash. BASURA!!

Other bands I want to see are Motel Drive, Wheels of Fortune.

I also want to check out the DJ Showcase at The Loft. That's gonna be awesome!

@Kristin: Last I heard there was a scheduling conflict with Cole. I think Hooligans also dropped out.

But that's cool, there's still plenty of other bands to see.

Hell if I know...I am just going to wander aimlessly around and soak in the sounds. Can you imagine how flipping fresh this is going to be. I had so much fun last year.

Get out there, Fresno.

Disclaimer: I am involved with the event...and 100% biased.

Gonna be tough as I am scheduled at 7 and 10 at Club One . . . (shameless plug for Motel Drive and The Suppressors)

But I will find a way to see Wheels of Fortune and Basura.

I'm seeing all the bands at the Spiral Garage--cuz that's where I'm working for the event--and I'm certainly not complaining---there's good bands whichever venue you peek into.

I do wanna put out a special plug for Black Pennies--this is my son's band, and they rock--it's pretty cool seeing a couple of 15 year-olds tear it up!

See you at Re:FUSE!

I want to echo the Oz sentiment about seeing bands I've never seen before. I think this really captures the spirit of the Festival. And I kind of really didn't get to even go last year.
(I made my own chart. And put the bands I want to see in bold. And now I can't find it.)

DJ venue! have you ever been to The Loft? that place is dope!

And one more thing. FWhile you're there, find some stuff Downtown that's NOT Fuse (sorry, Re:Fuse) related. Go to Emerald Thrift just up from the Spiral, or Gordo's in the Discount Mall, or Tommy's or Club Brazil right off Tulare, or even Yoshi Now down on Broadway. Seeing and being seen is all well and good, but I'd like to see this as a whole support Downtown kind of deal.

speaking of YoshiNow!, they're supplying this year's begging buckets! coolness.
