As excited as I was to dress up like a fool and listen to "Too Legit to Quit," I guess I hadn't really considered the showmanship of MC Hammer until he hit the stage at The Big Fresno Fair on Monday night. So can I just say that the man -- regardless of how you want to joke about him -- is one helluva entertainer.

He moved briskly through his catalog of hits, oozing energy and stage presence, with his throng of dancers. If you needed a lesson on showmanship, Hammer was handing 'em out. He even let a bunch of people (me included) on stage for his last two songs.
