UPDATE: It's official! Jay-Z will play Save Mart Center on Nov. 7.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. next Saturday. Prices are $35, $50 and $75. A special $25 discounted ticket is available to students.
Tickets will be available at the Save Mart Center box office, at Ticketmaster locations, including many Save Mart supermarkets, online at ticketmaster.com or by calling (800)-745-3000.
PREVIOUS UPDATE: Jay-Z announced tour dates today -- hitting a number of college arenas around the country, but Fresno was NOT on the list.
Concert promoter Live Nation, however, is still listing the Fresno date on its Web site.
What's promising though, is that the press release said more dates would be announced soon and Save Mart Center is the only arena its size on a college campus in California. Even if a date does get added, the Save Mart Center said this morning tickets would not go on sale this weekend.
I'm still watching this and waiting to hear back from a few sources, so I'll update again when I hear something new. In other news, the release date for Jay's "Blueprint 3" (originally Friday) has been bumped up to today.

Supposedly tickets will go on sale next Saturday. It being a holiday weekend, it's gonna be hard for me to confirm or get more details before Tuesday.

I'm just happy to hear word about some cool events here in town. We'll have Mayer Hawthorne, John Legend, Fashawn, Talib, maybe J. Grae, and Jay-Z all in the same year...
At least there's something to talk about now!

The Fresno Bee rarely reviews rock shows of any kind...why is that...but I bet their will be news of the rap show....some kind of news...lets hear from the Bee on the attendance figures.
