Have you guys seen this new TV commercial for the newly remodeled Fresno Yosemite International? Director/editor David Kennedy of Liquid Films sure made the place look nice -- nicer than I've ever seen it (to be fair, I haven't been in there since the remodel).

Here's a second spot that doesn't actually show the airport, but is a fun concept. It was a teaser for the above spot that was on TV a couple months ago. I never saw it, though.

UPDATE: Starline's manager gives his side of last night's incident after the jump.

ORIGINAL POST: It's only Tuesday and it's already a not-so-good week for Starline, the Tower District nightclub and music spot.

Apparently, local band Yesterday's Chonies, which is prone to playing out in the street, had a run in with Starline management last night. Now they're telling people not to go to Starline. The band explains:

[We] were playing music on the street outside Livingstones/Bank of America last night right after closing time (we had played at the open mic night at the Starline earlier). The starline gentleman came out quite aggressively, when he started yelling at me in my face I gave him a rude gesture and he hit my in the face. Our baritone player and he begin to tussel until it was broken up. I was intoxicated, however I feel that even if we were in the wrong the starline gentleman could have approached us differently and not used violence.

Meanwhile, there's now an "I Hate the Starline" group on Facebook. I don't know that these two things are directly related. If not, that's even worse.

It's a very busy Tuesday night for Fresno's music scene. In addition to the usual dueling indie nights at Starline and Audie's, there are a few other noteworthy attractions.

We'll start at Bliss, where Fresno native Marques Anthony is home to celebrate his birthday. Anthony is a back-up singer on Jamie Foxx's current "Blame It" tour and he also makes his own music.

At Babylon, Brian "Head" Welch, the ex-Korn guitarist, is bring his new Godly ways to town for a rockin' night.

Wondering where that "crazy cat lady" stereotype comes from? I don't know. But the woman in the following video is engaged in a Tracy Flick-style campaign to become its poster child.

I feel like this cat stroking video is a giant euphemism for something, but I just can't put my finger on it.

"Shaq Vs." 9 p.m. KFSN (Channel 30): Sometimes it is fun to watch a program because there is no doubt it is going to be a major car wreck. This one looks like a 99-car pile-up. NBA star Shaquille O'Neal will go head-to-head with top athletes such as Michael Phelps, Serena Williams and Oscar de la Hoya. This is supposed to be a competition but seems as lopsided as if Shaq decided to play basketball against a jockey.

Tonight, it is Shaq vs. Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. They will play a 7-on-7 game at a Pennsylvania high school. Even if Shaq loses the competition, you can count on his acting skills to save the day.

Remember "Steel"?

I don't think anyone has wanted an Emmy this bad since Kathy Griffin. Here's Stewie Griffin making his case of why "Family Guy" should win the Emmy for best comedy series this year and why the Griffins are better than the Dunder Mifflinites behind "The Office."

I hope this is the first of many -- 'cause I'd say "30 Rock" poses the biggest threat to "Family Guy" and everybody else in that category. I'd also love to see Stewie rip into "Entourage."
