For those of you who glossed over the "You Review: Bob Dylan" post, I wanted to make sure you didn't miss this oddly unprovoked comment from cooler-than-all-of-us Sharon:

I was born and raised in Fresno and I moved away as soon as I came of age, danced with happiness to be getting the hell out of there to a place where people actually think. Fresno is populated by brain-dead people who would not recognize a creative genius if he bit them on their buckled asses. I attended many concerts in Fresno before I moved and at every event the audience behaved as though the only reason they attended was to get drunk on beer, argue about God, and fight. I'm so happy I don't live there anymore. The place sucks and the people suck even more.

Heather likes to point out Comment Wins. This is not that, but it is pretty funny in a sad and unfortunate way. Sharon appears to have a disease than afflicts many people who move away and think they're a superior being. It's called Headuptheirownassitis. Thanks for hating Fresno so much, Sharon, but still paying attention to what's happening here.

Me and the other brain-dead sucky people appreciate it and envy you.

Sure, Fresno, makes it on to ESPN every so often. But how often do the Fresno Grizzlies get a mention? Today, the Griz got some love on SportsNation's Weird Web Stories for another one of their wacky promotions. Props to Mike Veredas, who alerted us to the mention and (we think) submitted the video.

RELATED FYI: We're going to giving away six four-packs of Grizzlies tickets for Sunday's game, so watch for a post about that in the near future.

If you don't wanna hang out at home and watch the "Big Bang Theory", then how about heading over to Audie's Olympic for reggae night?

You can also head over to Veni Vidi Vici to catch Johnny Q and Ms. Soulflower combining for what will inevitably be a very funky evening:

Run! Giant Kopi is going to hug you and not let go until the Greek Fest.

Seriously, I see this billboard every day, like two or three times per day. Let this be a reminder to all Fresnans: Kopi is everywhere and sees everything.

So. How was your weekend? Mine was quite nice, thanks:

FRIDAY: Dinner at the Red Lobster (oh, it's all class all the time for me, friends), followed by drinks and pool at the Brig, and then arcade basketball and pizza (aka dinner number two) at Me N Ed's Victory Grill.

Sidenote: have you tried Taco Bell's Volcano Nachos? I had them for lunch Friday and couldn't finish them, my mouth was burning so much. Volcano Nachos, you are my Everest!

TC_G_010_06_5.JPG "The Closer" 9 p.m. TNT: Granted, the Southern accent Kyra Sedgwick uses to play Deputy Chief Brenda Johnson gets a little annoying. It is not annoying enough to be a distraction from this first-rate police drama. Tonight's episode starts with a shooting in a school parking lot that leaves one person dead, another person critically wounded and a car loaded with marijuana. One of the best things about the show is that you can jump in to your first episode and not be lost. Take the leap.
