It's only been a week that this new "I Gotta Feeling" song by Black Eyed Peas is EVERYWHERE -- and I already want rip off my own ears. Seriously, I think it's on TV almost every commercial break.
Sadly, I don't think this song is going anywhere either. I might have to kill myself.
Are there bigger sell-outs in the history of music than BEP? I don't think so. Perhaps I hate them so much because I actually liked them when they first came out as this organic hip-hop group with b-boy roots. To see what they've turned into is disgusting.

I feel you Mike, but damn they got some catchy beats and songs... Boom Boom Booom, that gets stuck in my head all day long and I'm like, what the hell am I singing!?
I feel the same way. I can't stomach them. But whatever.
I have not heard this new song so I refuse to hit play.
h8. I am right there with you!
Alright, "let's get it started!"
You see what I did there?
Ok I lasted about a minute and I couldn't take it any longer.
After the fine product placement for that cell phone and MAC cosmetics I knew it was downhill after that.
They sold out, plain and simple. A huge red flag was when Fergie dubbed herself "The Duchess" and started singing about her London Bridges... *vomits every so slightly into mouth*
"Joints And Jam" is my favorite BEP song, one of the few. When I hear the verse say "We about mass appeal, no segregation" it saddens me.
Because you're all about segregation? The Black-Eyed Peas make the world a better place.
If they could, they'd build the world a home and furnish it love. Also, grow apple trees and honey bees, and snow white turtle doves. They'd probably also teach the world to sing, in perfect harmony.
I bet they'd even buy the world a Coke, and keep it company.
They sold out as soon as Fergie became a part of the group.
Joints and Jams, Karma, What It Is, Weekends, even Request Line are all great hip hop songs.
They now release b****made, watered down garbage.
Yeah, I've heard this song. Heard it about ten times this morning blasting from my neighbor's house. I was gonna throw a brick, but the poor kid doesn't know any better, so I made this and put it up around the block: http://tiny.cc/f6Tbm
I bow to you, sir.
This is awesome!
I heard this song a bunch of times this week (stupid XM radio in my office I work at) I didn't know it was BEP but i must agree horrible.
And can we have more blatant product placement? I am pretty sure we are all well aware that Fergie wears a ton of makeup and has a lot of 'work-done'; does she need to be basically naked? Might as well sell her too.
She looks like the stripper on the front page of the Bee today....
