If you've been wondering how GM is simultaneously filing for bankruptcy but running all kinds of re-branding commercials on TV ... well, you're not the only one. Check out this spoof made by a couple of Fresno creatives:
Not stopping at just the video, they made a whole site -- gmretardation.com -- around the idea. (It's a parody of this). The site is full of funny stuff -- like this plea to be a Facebook friend: "Pretend like you can be friends with us. We'll pretend too, and then we'll close down your dad's car dealership."
Hilarious. Could the announcer have a career in voice-overs?

-how obsolete and weird so many auto companies have been in their building.
(like) how GM refused to actually prime and adequately protect the frames/undercarriages of their cars and trucks for decades (so they'd rot quicker and have to be replaced (as) they were designed to wear out within 5-6 years.
-the real kicker was when I was working on a contract between GM and FIAT -over using their transmissions as a hybrid-build, I just kept mumbling 'oh god, no.'
(FIAT hasn't actively sold, repaired, nor had a dealership in the US for two decades, anyone who's worked on one knows why...)
It's like they want to 'help us loose a few, and get fitter and happier'
-by giving us cars that leave us stranded and walking all the time... how thoughtful.
