1. GET HYE: Celebrate all things Armenian at Fresno's first Hye Fest (today and Saturday) on the Fulton Mall. There's food, entertainment, a bike ride, Tavli tournament and more.
2. GO GRIZZ: While you're in the neighborhood, consider hitting The Chuk for a cool weekend with the Grizzlies. It's "As Seen on TV" night Saturday (free Grizzlies ShamWows!) and Willie Mays (not Hayes) will be making an appearance on Sunday. You know you want some FresWow! Sadly, Vince will not be there.
3. FOR THE LOVE OF BOOBIES: An impressive local music lineup is getting together for a breast cancer benefit at Starline tonight. The B-Downs, Super Lucky Catz, Fusion Porn and Check Raised are playing. Pink clothes are encouraged. Yeah, even you tough guys.
4. MINGLE WITH CREATIVES: Creative Fresno is having its monthly blender at GiGi's today. Go be a better Fresnan and meet some cool peeps.
5. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JOHNNY Q: One of the hardest working promoters in Fresno, Johnny Q of Love the Captive, is having a birthday. He's having a free party tonight at Audie's. Perfect afterparty spot should you partake in any of the above.
