Another local act doing big things these days is Rademacher. As No. 1 fan Ed Stewart has reported, the band recently got some music on "Gossip Girl" and will have music in the upcoming film "Five Star Day." This syncs up well with the band's May residency at Tokyo Garden, which starts tonight.
Each Thursday this month, the band will be playing different parts of its catalog, dating back to its earlier recordings. Frontman Malcolm Sosa explains:
It is kinda to celebrate the release of our old/new CD, RIP GARDENSIDE, which is a compilation of our four previous self-released EPs.On May 7th we will be performing all the songs from our first EP with the help of keyboard player Mike Adame from the band RACELEGS.
On May 14th we will be performing all the songs from Ice Age with the help of Niilo of Wheels of fortune as well as Jon and Mathr form the band Aircrash.
On May 21st we will be performing all the songs from our EP, Heart Machine with Luke Freeman of Circles and Circles and Jason Delgado of Santonies Revenge.
On May 28th we're doing the tunes from our Jaxart release, ERA with the help of Tomas of Gypsy Cab and Brian Kenney Fresno (on VIOLIN!).
Weird. So drop by. Most of the door money is going to a "van fund" which will help us buy a van this month and travel the world and pursue our dreams.
In the middle of all this, Rademacher is playing dates around the state and in Arizona -- including a couple shows with Airborne Toxic Event. In June, Rademacher has dates lined up with David Dondero around the state. Check out more show dates on the band's MySpace.
