Was Jordan still dreamy? Joey still adorable? Donny still bad? Jon and Danny still ... umm ... Jon and Danny? You saw them, Fresno, now tell us what you thought about New Kids on the Block?
Was Thursday night's concert everything you hoped for? Let's hear your reviews. Can the New Kids still sing and dance? Did they do all your favorite songs? Anybody get to touch them? Give us your take on all that and more in the comments.

THEY ROCKED THE HOUSE!!! I HAVE SEEN THEM 3 TIME AND WAS SO EXCITED THEY CAME TO FRESNO!!! THE SHOW WAS SOOO GOOD!!!I'M SEEING THEM AGAIN IN HOLLYWOOD ON SATURDAY!!!
Who opened for them?
The Jabbawockeez - You know America's Best Dance Crew - and they were totally off the hook!!
how did i know the first review would be in all caps?
OMG!! I didn't think NKOTB could get any hotter, but last night they stepped it up and had a lot of us ladies swooning like teenagers again! They were fabulous. Vocally sound, great moves and well worth the money. The Jabbawockeez, America's Best Dance Crew, are the most amazing hip hop dancers I have ever seen and they blew the stage up last night! Awesome from start to finish!
That was the best concert!! It was just all around awesome! Jabbawockeez were so amazing! No wonder they won ABDC! And the "Fun" chapter of their routine, freaking fabulous!! NKOTB was so freaking awesome! I was a bit bummed they didn't sing all of their new songs (like my favorite Full Service) but they were so good it didn't matter. I really loved the throwback clothes they wore when they sang on the piano. Joey McIntyre's gold jacket, too awesome for words! I really want to see them again!
Then you should get tickets to the Full Service Tour!!! They say its gonna be even more poppen' than this tour!! More of their newer songs!!!
I really want to! I am thinking about it...Plus, if its half as good as last night, its worth it!
It was amazing, the energy in the place was insane and I was so happy they did their old songs individually, instead of all together in a medley. Everyone was standing, screaming and singing along. The woman sitting next to us brought her daughter who was probably around 12, and it was funny to see her looking kinda bored, while her mom singing and dancing! I LOVE that they closed the show with Hangin' Tough. It was a major trip down memory lane!
I love NKOTB today as much as I did when I was six!! Jordan Knight foreva!!!
And whoever decided to turn the majority of the men's restrooms into women's is a genius!! Brilliant!
THE LADIE's daughter was probably waiting for the nasty songs cause now n days thats all kids listen too.thats so sad
They were amazing! I couldn't believe how much energy and love for NKOTB was in that place! They looked hotter than ever...even hotter with age!Watching them sing and dance on stage just proved they still got it. Their outfits were awesome...took me back to when I was a kid. I loved how they kept talking abut FRESNO and FRESNO showing them love being their first ever concert in CA. That was pretty awesome. The entire show was perfect!
It was the best show EVER!!! They can still get down like none other. I was their biggest fan at 6 years old and I'm still their biggest fan at 26.
If I died today, I'd be the happiest girl in the world after last night's show.
I heart NKOTB!!!!
They still got it!!!!
THEY WERE STILL HOT AS EVER IM AMAZED THAT THEY DIDNT LET THEM SELVES GO I FELT LIKE THAT 10YR OLD AGAIN.GROUP BANDS KNOW AINT GOT NUTHIN ON THEM. THERE SONGS ARE SO NICE N CLEAN I WISH MY 12YR OLD DAUGHTER COULD ENJOY THAT TYPE OF MUSIC NOT LIKE NOW WERE ITS ALL ABOUT SEX.NEVER AGAIN WILL THERE BE ANOTHER GROUP LIKE THEM....
lol. i wouldn't say their new songs are nice and clean...quite the opposite if you ask me. their old stuff was family friendly though!
So it was just Jabbawockeez that opened for them? I figured they'd have more than one opening act. I'm glad to hear it was an awesome show...can't wait to see it in July!
My name is Reyna, I'm 35 and a fan. Way back in the day when they were the hottest thing around I was a different person. I was the type of girl who's heart would pound as loud as the beats to the songs they sang to me. Yes, Joey Mac was singing to me when he said,"Please Don't Go Girl". I can pinpoint specific memories to those songs....where I was and who I was with. Jon, Jordan, Joey, Donnie and Danny were with me through the heart ache and joy that comes with high school. I was fortunate enough to have gone to two of their concerts and to have met them. Yes, you read that right. I met them! It is on of my most prized "celebrity" memories. With all of our history, I was especially thrilled to hear about their reunion.
As they have grown and moved on with their lives...so have I. I'm married and have three kids. My daughters know the "old school" NKOTB songs because I've always remained a fan and their songs have always been nice and clean....clean enough to share with my girls. I watched the NKOTB website, gossip/tabloid shows, the entertainment news and anything else that had any bit of news about their reunion. Could it be true? Was my wish becoming a reality? YES! It was. I saw their first perfomance on the Today show and clapped like I was 17 again when it was over. I knew that we would be reunited once again. One day in March, I heard that a local radio station was giving away tickets! I woke up the next day and had all the members in my house hold a phone and dial. I had to be caller #7. Do you know what happened? I won! I got 2 tickets for the 5th row for the 4-16-09 concert! I got to work that morning and was on a natural high for a few weeks.
The day before the concert I bought a plain t-shirt and painted my own design on it. I think that was my first indication to the level of "FAN" that I had evolved into. I did not want to wear a t-shirt that had their faces all over.....hmmmm how strange. Well, at the concert my stomach was in knotts. My sister in law and I made our way to the 5th row and sat down. I observed the crowed and saw many, many, many women ranging in ages. Some brought their daughters, some their husbands & some made it a girls night out. Next to me and in front of me were some girls who had some passes hanging from their necks. I leaned over and asked one,"What are those for? How did you get them? How much did they cost?" She reached down to her beloved pass, held it in her hands and replied,"These are passes, I got to meet "THEM", we took a picture together....it was A--MA--ZING!!" "How much were they?" I asked again. "$375.00." My mouth dropped open and I asked if she got a kiss for that price. I think she wanted to slap me,"No! But it was totally worth it. I hugged Donnie!" I thought about how much I could buy for $375.00 and then compared it to the value of "hugging Donnie" -- I could not even fathom spending that much money for a meet & greet. To my right was the wonderful security guard that had previously showed us our seats and she was showing another fan her seats. Those seats were 1st row, dead center and when she pointed them out to the woman --- that woman started to shake and cry.
Well, as the show finally gets underway, I am excited. I feel that I am being transported in time to my youth. Memories are flooding my brain and my heart is pounding as loud as ever.......then it comes to a screeching halt..... is Joey Mac wearing Skinny Jeans! Ughhh....he is! Why??? Oh....no.... that just does not do anything for me. Why Joey??? Why??? O.K.... move on..... enjoy the show.....I tell myself as I try to look past those ..... things. The music is great, the energy is great and every now and then I feel like my ear drums are going to bleed from all of the screaming going on around me. I am observant of the whole scenario -- the women especially. They must all be either moms, teachers, bankers, ....something.... and now here they are... reaching out towards the stage, screaming with sheer delight, acting like teenagers. Am I the only sane one here? Am I the only one who hears Jordans attempt at singing "I'll Be Loving You Forever" and having the urge to plug my ears? Those angelic voices that sang those old school songs are no longer here. The men before me have a new sound that fits them just fine and that is who they are now. Watching them do some of the old moves was entertaining. I can honestly say that the whole show was energetic and loud.
The one thing that just killed the night for me (no, not Joey's skinny jeans) was the fact that at the end of the show they all went backstage and then re-emerged dressed in Boston Celtic uniforms. What's up with that? Not one time at all during their rise to fame did they EVER boast their love for the Celtics....not once. Now, they come out and shove it in my face? Why? What do the Boston Celtics have to do with New Kids On the Block? Nothing! If Danny, Donnie, Jon, Joey & Jordan personally love The Celtics --good for them. If this was a home-town concert then I'd see how appropriate donning on those uniforms would be but this is Fresno, Ca.,and I sure don't love the Celtics.
