You could argue that today is the biggest sports day of the year -- adding together baseball's opening day and tonight's NCAA basketball championship game. If you're looking for a local spot to see the action, you can now count Red Zone Sports Grill among your options.
Red Zone -- home of the Defibrillator burger -- opened last week at Champlain and Shepherd, where Rumba Latin Fusion used to be. You can read more about Red Zone in a recent column from our girl Joan Obra. I stopped in there the other day to see what the place looked like and thought I'd share a few pics.
ESPN 1430 is going to be out at Red Zone tonight, hosting a viewing party for the Michigan State vs. North Carolina game. If you're on the other side of town, the guys from the Wide World of Fresno Sports are having a gathering at Hero's. And me? I just want a tri-tip sandwich from Doghouse Grill.

You had me at "tri-tip sandwich from Doghouse Grill".....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
just to clear, the wide world of fresno sports "viewing party" (i like that) is unofficial, and is in no way endorsed by hero's. we just wanted to go eat there and watch the game.
And here I thought, ed, that I might for once make you happy.
*sigh*
oh, i'm happy for the link, i just didn't want anyone to be confused, or for people from hero's to be like, 'what? who said someone could have a thing here?'
