Fresno bloggers gathered Saturday for the second annual Blogger Olympics. Proving that nerdiness is second only to blogginess, they competed in such daunting athletic competitions as miniature golf, skee ball, air hockey, arcade basketball and Wii bowling.
After putting around Blackbeard's and dueling with plastic paddles at Victory Grill, one blogger was left standing as Fresno's Blogger Olympian supreme. Watch this video to find out who. (Or, if you wanna do things the old-fashioned way, read below for all the results).
The competition was not without drama. Going into the final event, Blogger Olympics newcomer Kathy Mahan (of The Beehive) was only five points behind leader Brodiemash Dumb Drum, who said Wii Bowling would be his weakest event. Kathy made into the bowling final four and needed only to finish first or second to take the Blogger Olympics title. However, she finished fourth, giving Brodiemash a victory by one point.
Here are the prizes, overall standings, an event-by-event breakdown, individual awards and more fun stuff.

Famous Last Words
- I hope to have another Blogger Olympics video up later this week.

Nice! Congrats Brodie! :)
We gotta give an award to that kid that The Fresnan nailed with the puck during air hockey. I think his shoulders touched. Mad props to all the participants & everyone involved in putting this event together! Good times!
Hold on, hold on. I am pretty sure that all of Mikey's scores are going to have to be vacated after multiple positive tests for the morning after pill. Performance enhancing or not, it is on the list of banned substances, which also may explain H-Mac's absence in this year's competition.
Congrats Roque.
I think I OD'd on caffeine somewhere between Air Hockey and Basketball so my memory is a bit sketchy, but overall it was a great time!
Next year, texting FTW!
vid has been deactivated or something...
...never mind, up now... (odd)
Lol. Hiliarous. There some hot chick bloggers. You know how to pick em Mike. lol
Where was Hmac?
I happily stepped aside to make room for some new faces, and I'm glad I did -- looks like everyone had a great time.
Besides, I can't embarrass Fresno's bloggers every year at this thing. Isn't it enough I do that online on a daily basis?
I learned a lot. Thank you all. Also, the link to This is Conlan is broken. Also, I always represent This is Conlan first and most fore. Because this... is... Conlan!
sorry. fixed.
Had a great time on Saturday and am a bit humbled after the beating I took. That's ok, I'm going into a Rocky IV-esque training regiment starting tomorrow (or whenever I get over the swine flu) so I can defeat Brodiemash next year.
HMac quit at the apex of her career??
Marisa shouldn't have surprised anyone with her consumption...anyone who reads her (fantastic) blog realizes she's a Mountain Dew addict.
Congrats to Brodie, who will likely start filming his 'Chariots of Fire' swede tomorrow, starring himself.
Kudos to Kathy Mahan, rookie of the year!
Thanks again Beehive for putting this thing together. I would have been more dominant if I knew how to play the damn arcade games. Skeeball always looks promising and then it kicks my ass. Basketball...well...I'll just never get the hang of that awkward sport.
Yeah, Brodiemash. I tried to buy the kid a beer to make up for hitting with the puck, but for some reason, his mom was all weird about it. What_ever.
DChild, unless Lucky Charms is considered performance enhancing, I was clean sir, clean I say.
Many many thanks to the Beehive for getting the awesome trophies and running the thing and everything - and I'm pretty bitter I had to leave before the finals. Very happy to see the field was opened up to more bloggers too - I think 12 or more would work just fine next time.
It was a great nerdy time, and I loved it. (BTW, I shot a 44 on the pirates course at Blackbeards - anyone ever post a better score? No way.)
Really though, I was just happy to see Bauer in person, finally.
you're right hmac, we are embarrassed for you every day. i mean, it's a hard time taking content from celebrity blogs every day and reposting it as your own.
{blog war!}
