Music and video game lovers, mark 9-9-09 on your calendar. The Beatles Rock Band will be out that day.
On March 29, rival pretend-to-play-an-instrument game Guitar Hero put out its Metallica version.
Both have featured exclusive band editions before. Last year Rock Band released an AC/DC and Guitar Hero released an Aerosmith version. Both games allow fans to downloads songs from other bands.
So, let the battle of the music games begin: What game would you rather play?
I choose Guitar Hero, that way no one beside my cat and husband will ever have to hear me sing. And, how can you go wrong with the 80s version featuring hair bands?

Come over and play Rock Band, Kathy! You are queen of Guitar Hero, but there's nothing like pounding on the drums. And you gotta hear the hubby bust out Weezer and the Police. Too funny. I can't WAIT for the Beatles version!
Please tell me you weren't referring to Metallica as a hair band. Poison, Motley Crue, Warrant and the like are hair bands. Metallica is pure delicious, heart-pounding, therapeutic Heavy Metal. Their amps definitely go to 11.
