OK, I lied. There aren't monkeys, or wizards or even C3PO. But we still think the new Beehive is pretty awesome. We hope you do too. (But by all means, if there's something you really don't like, let us know).
While you do your looking around, here are five things I'd like to draw some attention to:
1. We got a freakin' blogroll. Finally, right? Welcome to Blogville, circa 2005. Hey, but we're darn excited about it. We hope it continues to blossom with more Fresno blogs.
2. You can now access all of our regular features with a click of your mouse. That means you can re-visit all the Worst Flier of the Week posts whenever you evil little heart desires. It's not totally up and running yet. You know how many posts we have to go back and re-categorize? Give us a few days. Those of you who like to navigate via tags will like that addition as well.
3. We can show off our 'Featured Posts.' See that over on the right? We'll use that space to give a little more love to good posts that might have slipped off the front page because of our sometimes overly prolific blogitude.
4. We all have short bios now. If you go to our individual pages, you can read more about the Beehivers. Just hit the + next to our name.
5. Mas scoopy! We love Scoopy. You should be seeing more of him around here.

We'll check it out. The blog roll will be changing -- with additions, deletions, etc.
Generally, we look for blogs that discuss what's going on in Fresno or play into our scope of pop culture, entertainment, etc.
Also (and let this be a notice to people who made the blog roll) we're looking for bloggers who update regularly.

I like the extended functionality. I'd still say that recent comments should always be for the entire blog and not just for whatever post page you're looking at.

I thought recent comments was fixed -- we'll take a look at that.
Also, now that we've got The Beehive back end updated, I'm hoping we can add new things like subscribe to comments -- but hey, we did start you off with threaded comments today.
Adding to the chorus: New design is cool and I like the new functionality
Constructive criticism: For external links they should be programmed to open a new window. I get annoyed when clicking on a link and you send me off the BeeHive. I end up having to go back to your site or I remember to hold Ctrl so that I force it to open the link in a new window.
Plus you shold want to keep eveyone on your site.
