AUDIO: The Thermals ♥ Visalia

thermals.jpgThe Thermals are another of those indie bands that are extremely loyal to Howie and Son's -- the tiny Visalia pizza parlor that's probably the best booked venue in our Valley.

The indie-punk trio, based in Portland and signed to the mucho important Sub Pop Records, is back at Howie's on Saturday. It's the group's third stop. And each time, The Thermals are even bigger than they were the year before. It's an all-ages show, starting at 9:30 p.m. $5 cover. Wet Confetti opens.

I talked by phone to Thermals frontman Hutch Harris earlier in the week before a gig in San Francisco. We talked about their love for Howie's, their future with Sub Pop, the group turning down a Hummer ad and a bunch of other random stuff. You can listen to the interview in MP3 here.
